Hi, what blog platform is this? Can I download it for free or..? I would really appreciate it if you could answer this question! Ciao!
This blog is running on Wordpress which has been locally installed on our server. It is otherwise a standard installation.
Agreed – the light is super! My best set of power tools have lights too. Soon all machines will have little lights…
Jonathan,
Your design is yet another example of how close we are to Fab Lab 2.0
I would like to have a device specifically designed just for circuit boards. It could work like the dedicated business card scanner. You put a circuit board in the slot in the front of the unit and it could raster cut and feed the finished board out the back of the unit.
I like your built-in work light. What type of tool are you using to cut the circuit board? We use 1/64″ or 1/32″ endmills that are extremely fragile. I have seen several people using a v-carve tool like yours but don’t know where the get them from. Do they hold up well?
Scott
The bit we are using is a 1/64″ endmill. I’m now working on the larger machine that will mill the wood structure for the mini mill. I’m also going to fab some compact motor drivers for the machine.
Cheers,
Jonathan
